Product Description

Turbo-Seal P is a cold applied, single component, highly elastomeric polymer rubber infused with special adhesives. Turbo-Seal P is used for above and below grade new construction. Due to its superior flexibility, adhesiveness and self sealing characteristics, Turbo-Seal P is ideally suited for all types of roofs and underground structures.

Application

    1. Tunnels
    2. Underground Garages
    3. Septic Tanks
    4. Concrete Reinforced Levies
    5. Subway Tunnels
    6. Shrinkage Cracks
    7. Moving Joints
    8. Pipe Penetrations
    9. Settlement Cracks
    10. Construction Joints
    11. Joints in Precast Concrete Segments
    12. Expansion Joints

Application Equiment

    1. Rotor Stator Pump
    2. Long Handled Trowel

Features

    1. Self healing under hydrostatic pressure.
    2. Adhesive to wet substrate and heterogeneous surfaces. No primer necessary. Can be applied to green concrete.
    3. Absorbs shocks, vibration, and continuous movement with no loss of adhesion or separation.
    4. One component. No mixing of chemicals, easy to apply, safe, easily stored and transportable.
    5. High solids content, non-toxic, environmentally friendly. Helps with LEED qualifications. Easy to install.
    6. Durable. Chemically resistant, resistant to freeze/thaw cycling. Effective in many different types of environments.

Directions

    1. Remove bulges measuring 80 mil or more and foreign matter using a blower or a broom.
    2. Apply a 100 mil (±20 mil) coat of Turbo-Seal-P on the surface using a toothed trowel, and attach Turbo sheets.
    3. To protect Turbo-Seal-P and strengthen waterproofing layers, lightly press the Turbo sheet on the Turbo-Seal-P with a roller for better adhesion.
    4. The length of the lap joint of the Turbo sheet is 4 in (± .5 in). Heat the joints with a torch lamp to ensure satisfactory adhesion.
    5. Install expansion joint material around the parapet prior to pouring plain concrete so that the parapet will not be damaged by the movement of the plain concrete.
    6. The width of the joints near the parapet shall be .8 in, and 0.2 in for other joints. Intervals between joints shall be 2 yd.
    7. Keep the workplace clean.
    8. Method will differ depending on type of application.

Caution

    1. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
    2. Wear suitable gloves and safety glasses

Storage

    1. Store in unopened containers in clean, dry conditions at 40۫ F to 80۫ F.

Other

    1. In the event any discrepancies between the specification and work environment, consult the manufacturer or designer before application.
