Re-MCI

Product Description

RE-MCI is fibrous composites carbon fiber reinforced polymer bar and the surface bonded garnet for concrete reinforcement is that steel corrodes in concrete subjected to harsh environments. Resulting in loss of strength and structural integrity. Motorway concrete structures are particularly prone to this corrosion, as they are exposed to the outdoor environment and deicing salts in colder climates. It is essential that all tensile reinforcing elements, including RE-MCI bars to be used in concrete structures, retain sufficient strength capabilities during the expected life of the concrete structure.

Application

    1. Weight sensitive concrete buildings, bridges, elevated bridges, chimney stack, tower
    2. Inner-layer repairing-reinforcement of motorway tunnel, sewers tunnel.
    3. Reinforced concrete exposed to deicing salts: parking lot, bridge decks, roads, slabs
    4. Structures built in or lose to seawater: harbor structures, buildings, lighthouse and others
    5. Chemical processing industries of all types major sources of corrosion for steel
reinforcement; Wastewater treatment plants, petrochemical plants, liquid gas plants,
pipelines and tanks for fossil fuel, nuclear power plants and nuclear dump facilities, pulp
      and paper factory and others.
    6. Requiring for fire resistant buildings

Benefits/Characteristics

    1. High strength to weight ratio ; provides good reinforcement in weight sensitive applications.
    2. Non corrosive ; will not corrode under exposure to a wide variety of corrosive elements including chloride ions.
    3. Non conductive ; provide excellent electrical and thermal insulation.
    4. Excellent fatigue resistance ; performs very well in cyclic loading situations.
    5. Good impact resistance ; resists sudden and severe point loading.
    6. Dimensionally stable under thermal loading ; reduced expansion and shrinkage in concrete subjected to temperature variation.
    7. Lightweight ; easily transported and assembled in the field without need for expensive heavy lifting equipment.

Directions

    1. Chipping of the concrete decayed part
    2. Rod installation and anchoring
    3. Plastering and finish work with Re-Mortars

Caution

    1. Concrete reinforcement construction with RE-MCI, of the concrete surface must be good chipping and smoothing off repair of open void
    2. Plastering works with Re-Mortars, do not apply if the surface temperature is below 5°C and above 35°C or above 85% relative humidity. .

Storage

    1. Do not store Bars directly on ground.
    2. Should be stored in a dry, dark place and free dirt and mud and chemical substances.
