G&W-G Mortar
Product Description
G&W-G is an alkali water-based acrylic polymer micro-cement mortar.
G&W-G is used as a concrete surface coating and repairing and
protection material for problem areas caused by pollution resulting
in corrosion, carbonation, freezing and thawing conditions, etc.
Application
- Crack Repair
- Bonding with new and Existing Concrete
- Tunnel Lining
- Deck Coating
- Road/Pedestrian Markings
- Parking Garage Structures
- Mixing equipment: Hand mixer, sieve.
- Gauge: Scales.
- Application equipment: recommended spray, brush.
Features
- Has elasticity, responsive to structural movement

Directions
- Measure 1 lb of Type A and .38 – .45 lb of Type B in each container.
- Amount of Type B may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
- Uneven surface shall be treated to make it smooth before application.
- Ensure application at a constant pressure and thickness to ensure
no stain or gloss on surface.
- Do not apply too thick.
- Dampen concrete surface with water or Type B before application
to ensure that concrete does not wick away moisture from mortar
mixture.
- Minimize to use Type B so as to prevent the surface from being
excessively dried to ensure the standard quality.
- Remove any foreign material, G&W-G is designed to protect
the surface.
- Use a sieve to remove lumps before application.
- A sufficient curing is required under the temperature below 50°F.
- In case of any condensation on surface, dry the surface using
heater, fan, air compressor or portable burner.
- In case of hot-weather concreting on dried surface, spray refined
water or liquid to prevent the mortar from drying too rapidly.
- Limit the amount of mixed material at normal temperature so that
it can be applied within 30 minutes.
- Do not use if powder hardens or liquid freezes.
- Application should not be done below 31°F and over 95°F.
- As the viscosity varies depending on temperature and humidity,
keep agitating to prevent the aggregate from being segregated in
a low viscosity, and add Type B within a mixing ratio allowable
before agitating the material in high viscosity.
- Protect surface from rain before it is hardened.
- Protect surface from external impact, rain or direct sunlight
for at least 48 hours after application
- Refer to instruction on storage of powder or liquid-type material
for further details. If any problems persists, contact the manufacturer.
- Application can not be done in strong winds.
- Those not instructed in specifications may follow standard concrete
specifications.
- In the event of any discrepancies between the specification and
work environment, consult the manufacturer or designer before application.
